TonioNotes I have found my son's fixation - the brim of my hat. If I have the hat on and am holding him, all his attention is focussed on the hat. His eyes light up - his hands go up - his mouth opens - and the game starts. He starts trying to reach up and grab my hat. If he is sitting down - he grabs on to me and trys to stand up. If he is standing he grabs on to the brim with all he can and trys to pull it off. His technique isn't too good yet and so what ends up happening is that he just pulls down on my hat, not letting it come up off the back of my head. While not to hard on me - it is hilarious to see his exertion - he just pulls and pulls.. In an effort of accomodation I put the hat on his head - or give it directly to him - at that point the hat becomes something other - not so interesting, just another thing to be looked at and thrown off - no its only when on my head that the focus - the plan - the invigorating attention is there. He must believe that its an alien element that shouldn't really be on me. Maybe its his way of telling me that I shouldn't wear a hat indoors...
